Wedding Trends In 2012 To Be Aware Of: READ & SEE PICTURES BELOW:

Weddings In 2012 ~ Expect To See A Lot Of The Following:

WEDDING DRESSES: In 2012, expect to see more Victorian style (inspired) wedding dresses with a hint of color to add drama, and romance. The desire for change, will draw brides toward these soft, sexy styles that express femininity, new beginnings, elegance, and a return to simplicity.

MORE THAN ONE WEDDING DRESS: This trend, which has been in play for a while now, will continue into 2012. Basically the bride chooses a more elegant gown for her ceremony, and a more simple wedding dress (perhaps even a party style white dress) for her reception that will allow her to let her hair down and have fun!

FOOD TRUCKS ORE ICE CREAM TRUCKS AT RECEPTIONS:
Yeah, , sort of like the Taco truck! Sounds crazy, right?, , and maybe a little "tacky", , however, , , if done properly, a Food truck at a wedding can be a fun addition to your overall wedding day and theme. For Example: For an outdoor wedding where you WILL provide a catered meal for your guests, , , a Food Truck can be a great way for your guests to satisfy their cravings, or hunger while waiting for the festivities to begin. Food Truck services may not be for everyone, but we're sure to see a few wedding receptions with them in 2012.

WINE TASTINGS: Expect to see this trend at weddings in 2012, , where in addition to the couple providing champagne for their guests to toast with, , , a local winery may be hired to provide samples (aka tastings) of their wines to the newly wed's guests at no cost to the guests.

WEDDING COLORS: While we're likely to see some brightly colored weddings in 2012 (which are wonderful!) Brides and grooms of 2012 will want to convey feelings of tranquility to their guests. Because of this, , expect to see a trend of neutral colors (and ultra-romantic themes) in 2012. Expect to see combinations like beige (or browns) and shades of blue in 2012!
this is more blue and brown than our wedding, but this is a good blue/turquoise example Pictures, Images and Photos

FULL-OUT DESSERT TABLES, CANDY BUFFETS, & GOOD NIGHT STATIONS!! 2012 brides and grooms will want to treat their guests like they're visiting grandma's house (as in everything you want to eat at hand!, and nothing's a no no!) Dessert tables display everything from pies, cupcakes, pastry's, coffees, to chocolate fountains with strawberry's and other delights to dip. Candy Buffets (currently popular) will continue in popularity as decorative treat stations in 2012. Good Night Stations - Will consist of a final treat for the guests at the night's closing. This can include things like donuts, and coffee.

Hiring A Friend For Your Wedding? Read This Before You Do!

Hiring A Friend For Your Wedding?

Hiring A Friend For Your Wedding? - (is it a wise thing to do?) With cost cutting becoming a common factor in many weddings these days, it will come as no surprise that many couples are turning to their friends to help them out with certain elements of their special day. But is this a wise decision? and can you always rely on your friends not to let you down when it matters the most?

Imagine asking a close friend to take your wedding photographs for you. Perhaps they had taken a photography course or just had a natural talent for it. You feel confident that they will produce some amazing pictures for you and when they gladly accept you are pleased to have saved such a huge chunk of your wedding budget. But on the day itself, they had left their camera at home by mistake or left it back in the hotel which is over an hours drive away there and back. Then end result, you are let down and those amazing pictures never happen.

For many couples there will come a point during the wedding planning when reality begins to bite and they realize that their budget just won't stretch as far as they like. Well meaning friends will often try to come to the rescue and will offer their services for free or for a lower price that a professional will charge. What they need to ask themselves is if they can rely on them to deliver and are they completely sure that they are up to the task.

If a friend offers to step into the breach in order to save you money, then here are a few questions you will need to ask yourselves before agreeing.

Are they reliable? How organized are they? Are they always late, do they keep to their word or do they come up with some excuse at the last minute? You need to be completely sure that you can rely on them and that they will not leave you in the lurch at the last minute.

Communication? Will they listen to what you want? Will they follow your instructions and carry them out to the letter? Will they keep you updated on how things are progressing? An important aspect of a wedding is that is it done in accordance with the bride and grooms wishes. It is their day after all and so they should have what they want. Will your friend stay true to your wishes or do things their own way?

Can you trust them to make decisions without you? This may seem contrary to what is above, but there may well be occasions when they will have to make a decision without your input, in which case can you trust them to make the right one?

What if something goes wrong? Now mishaps can happen, they can happen to professionals just as easily as they can happen to you, but it what happens next that is the key question here. Imagine trusting your friend to make your wedding cake, they have made occasion cakes before so you are confident with their abilities to produce something stunning for you. But the goes horribly wrong, it's burnt to a cinder or they dropped it on the way to the car! What will you do should something go awry? Whilst it is tempting to save money on the most expensive elements of your wedding day I would advise hiring a professional for the most important parts.

Are they worth the saving? Ask yourself if it is worth it? Will you actually save that much against the price of a professional? Asking your friends to do things for you could result more stress for you, so it really has to be a massive saving to make it worth while.

Could your friendship survive if something went wrong? Hiring a close friend who then lets you down could result in a difficult relationship from that point on. Ask yourself if you are willing to risk your friendship for the sake of a few wedding favors or if your think your friendship is string enough to survive?

It maybe inevitable that you will have to cut costs somewhere, but unless your friends are professionals in a certain field that will be of use to you, I would stay away from hiring them for something as important as your wedding. Whilst you will probably increase your stress over whether of not they are doing the job to your requirements, they are probably fretting over doing it well enough to be of justice to your friendship. My advice would be to hire professionals for the most important elements of your wedding and keep your friends in the loop with the lesser parts such as wedding favors, table centers and stationery.

Digital Age Of Photography - Now Everybody's A Wedding Photographer?

Digital Age Of Photography - Now Everybody's A Wedding Photographer?
0691three.jpg (229×309)

By: Charish (California Weddings @ FresnoWeddings.Net)

In the last 10 years, the wedding photography profession has been
diluted by a flood of would be wedding photographers.

In the words of a local professional, "A once respected industry has
been destroyed by entry level shooters with digital cameras. Brides now allow their family members to shoot their weddings, or hire $100-500 a day tyros. In my region, about half of the established shooters have gone "belly up".

The above quote is sad, but true, but today's modern engaged couples are neither stupid, or cheap!

Thanks to the help of the informative world wide web, couples have learned how to do better research in their quest for true, and experienced wedding photographers.

How can you tell if a photographer may be entry level?

While there is no sure fire way of telling, here are some tips.

1. Listen to your intuition. If you feel a little strange about his or
her presentation, or their work just doesn't impress you, move on.

2. Not always indicative, but a low price, usually means a low level of
experience - and desperation to get the job. Don't be their Guinea pig! Let
them learn on someone else.

3. Contracting - Do they have a contract?
If so, is it written in clear, easy to understand language. If you have any
questions, do they provide a clear answer?

The same above rules can apply to most other wedding services. Always listen to
your intuition, and if something sounds too good to be true, maybe it is. Always check references.

Wedding Photography: Some Helpful Tips On Making A Wise Choice

Wedding Photography: Some Helpful Tips On Making The Right Choice For YOU!

CLICK HERE - TO FIND A GREAT CALIFORNIA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Article by: Alais Harry

Wedding Photography plays a very important role in making your wedding day memorable and special.

Choosing the right photographer is just as difficult as choosing the type of wedding photography you want him to execute.

I suggest you first type “wedding photography” into your preferred search engine and look at some pictures, just to get a rough idea of what each type of wedding photography looks like.

You will find tons of pictures that seem to be quite different from each other, in terms of effects, colors, lighting and settings. How can it be? Well, there are three main types of wedding photography, that’s why.

(images added by 3rd party provided permissible embedded code)
Ceremony Pictures, Images and Photos
You may choose among classical/traditional wedding photography, fashion/contemporary wedding photography and the one that is most in fashion nowadays, photojournalistic wedding photography.

Whatever you choice, I suggest you find a wedding a photographer that has experience in executing the type of wedding photography you and your partner prefer and show him both the place where the wedding ceremony will be held and the reception party venue.

The reason why it is important that he/she sees them is because, depending on your chosen locations he will be able to advise you as to what form of wedding photography is best for you.

For example, if you plan on holding your reception party at a 5 star hotel or any other luxury venue, the photographer will probably suggest your opt for fashion wedding photography as those types of location are perfect for contemporary wedding photography. That is because most hotels and luxury venues are decorated with statues, fountains and have very spacious gardens. The lush grass combined with the water spilt out of the fountains creates the perfect conditions for contemporary wedding photography to be executed in the best possible way.

However, regardless of the type of wedding photography you choose, remember that there are certain moments your photographer has to absolutely immortalize, no matter what the form of wedding photography he/she is specialized in.

First off, he should take a few pre-wedding photos.

Wedding photography, in fact, is meant to give you memories of your wedding day, not only of your wedding ceremony and reception party. The photographer should get to your place early in the morning and start taking photos so that you have a souvenir of those exciting pre-wedding moments.

The reason why so many couples prefer photojournalistic wedding photography to classical wedding photography and contemporary wedding photography is because the final result is usually very beautiful.

In fact, photojournalistic wedding photography, unlike classical wedding photography, has nothing to do with artificial looking settings, poses, fake smiles and group portraits. On the contrary, photojournalistic wedding photography aims at giving you a wedding album that looks nothing like a traditional album.

Reportage wedding photography is chosen by those couples who want their whole special day to be immortalized by a professional photographer who is supposed to stay in the background for the whole day, without even letting people notice his presence.

That is why reportage wedding photography produces such natural and spontaneous photographs.

Once you have made up your mind as to what form of wedding photography is best for you, do not forget to ask the photographer to take pictures before the ceremony, during the ceremony and the reception party. He should not omit anything.

After all, all forms of wedding photography imply pictures of the bride and groom, guests, the band, the chosen venues, the wedding rings, the wedding cake and so forth…

5 Tips to Finding the Perfect Wedding Photographer

5 Tips to Finding the Perfect Wedding Photographer

by: Phil Thornton

Selecting a wedding photographer is possibly one of the most impactful decisions
you can make during your wedding planning. Your wedding photos should last a lifetime and be a direct reflection of your special day. A good wedding photographer will capture the essence of your wedding and convey that emotion through the images. Here are five simple tips to follow when searching for your perfect wedding photographer.

SEARCH FOR A PHOTOGRAPHER IN YOUR AREA - CLICK HERE

* The Internet is Your Buddy
Most brides (and the occasional groom) know that the internet is a very valuable tool when researching vendors and looking for wedding inspiration. Directory and search engine sites like Google are great for searching through a ton of resources all in the same place. This saves you time and puts great vendors right in front of you. Once you have developed a short list of photographers whose work you love based on your initial impression then you can really dig into each site individually. Many successful photographers operate blogs. Checking out a photographers blog is a great way to learn a little more about them, find some more recent work, and even peak into their personality. These days if a photographer doesn't have a website my suggestion would be to skip them. If they aren't using the web they are most likely extremely outdated or not serious about their profession.

* Your Cousin/Sister/Aunt/Friend
You might be tempted to skip the expensive professional wedding photographer and use your best friend who has a great camera. Please don't make this mistake. Wedding photography requires experience to do it right. There are a hundred things that go on during a wedding that you must capture, correctly, the first time. A professional knows where to be, what to look for, and how to capture an image unobtrusively. Professional photography gear is also critical for shooting wedding. Many times off camera lighting or specialty lenses are needed that most amateurs just don't have.

* Chemistry
It really is all about chemistry. Make sure you take the time to interview the photographer you are considering. This is a very common and acceptable practice and if the photographer is not happy to meet with you before hand, move on. Your wedding day should be fun and relaxing. If your photographer doesn't "click" with you it will only create stress. After booking your photographer you should feel confident that they are reliable, trustworthy, and can deliver the photos you expect.

* Product Overload
Your first encounter with a photographer might seem a little overwhelming. There are literally hundreds of available products and services for you to choose from. My advice is to select a photographer based primarily on their skills and images. Products can usually be added at any time after the wedding. Don't choose a less talented photography simply because they offer a free print or promotional product.

* Background Check
A few questions you might want to ask your prospective photographer are:

1. Are you a full time photographer or part-time?
2. May we see a completed wedding (all images.)
3. May we have a few references to contact?
4. Are you insured and is your business registered?

These questions will give you a better idea about your photographers background and whether or not they are legitimate. If the photographer acts offended or defensive it may be a sign that they are hiding something.

Just remember, go with your instinct and the selection process should be a fun and enjoyable experience. Happy hunting!
