Below is an informative, and decent review of the Wii Fit Plus.
As a mom of 3 kids, who love to play video games, I purchased this game for my kids.
My personal review/opinion of the Wii Fit Plus, is that some of the exercises or features can be beneficial to the health, and/or fitness level of the individual, while others are simply a fun way to pass time.
And Yes, it is a great way to get yourself, and/or your loved ones off their butts rather than sitting and watching TV, or playing video games for an extended period of time.
If you're going to tone, and burn calories, I recommend focusing on the following features, while reserving others for just having fun, nothing more. Jogging, Bike Riding, Hula Hoops, and Advanced Step.
Other features, or games are simply not vigorous enough for most people, or fail to teach the individual to isolate the muscles that are supposed to be affected. Without the proper speed, range of motion, and isolation of intended muscles, little if any benefit will be achieved.
